Knotless Box Braids · from $180 · 4 – 6 hrs · West End, Atlanta
Knotless box braids in Atlanta that leave your edges alone.
Lightweight braids that start with your own hair, so nothing pulls at the root. Sit once, wear them six to eight weeks, and keep your edges the whole time.
Three things you should not have to put up with.
Braids so tight you cannot sleep
You spent the first three nights with a headache and the first week waiting for your scalp to calm down. That is tension, not tightness, and it is what thins edges.
Guessing how much hair to buy
You stood in the beauty supply store texting your braider and still came home with the wrong count. Every extra trip is time you did not have.
An appointment that runs into the night
You were told four hours and you left at eleven. Long styles take time, but you should know the real time before you sit down.
What is different in my chair.
Knotless from the first braid
I start every braid with your own hair and feed the extension in gradually. There is no knot at the root, so the braid hangs lighter and your scalp is not carrying a weight it cannot hold.
Clean parts, no scraping
Sharp parting is what makes knotless look expensive, and I get it with a rat-tail comb and patience, not by scraping your scalp raw.
Edges left out on purpose
If your hairline is fine or recovering, I leave those baby hairs out of the braid entirely. A style that costs you your edges is not protective.

How your knotless install goes.
We settle the size and length
Before I part a single section, we look at your inspiration photo and I tell you honestly how it will hang on your hair and how long it will take.
Clean parts, section by section
I part the whole head first, then braid from the nape up. Each braid starts with your hair only, so there is no knot and no pull.
Dip, seal, and set
Ends are dipped and sealed, edges are laid lightly, and you leave with a night routine and a rebook date six to eight weeks out.

Knotless is the reason I built this studio.
I have been braiding for ten years. When knotless came along, it fixed the thing I hated most about traditional box braids: the weight sitting on the root. I moved my whole book to it and never went back.
It is also the style I get the most nervous first-timers for. Someone whose last set hurt, or whose edges are still growing back. Getting them to the end of the day comfortable is the part of this work I care about most.
Knotless Box Braids are right for you if
You want a protective style you can forget about for six to eight weeks.
Your last set of braids hurt, or your edges are still recovering.
You want the braid to move and swing instead of sitting stiff.
You have at least three inches of natural hair to start with.
You should be able to touch your scalp on day one.

Good to know before you book.
It depends on the size and length. For medium, mid-back braids most clients use six to eight packs of pre-stretched hair. Tell me your length and I will give you an exact count, or add the hair to your booking and I will have it ready.
